I was born in Fort Worth, Texas in 1985. I grew up mainly in Silver Spring, Maryland, my father was a principle of a private school called Capitol Christian Academy and my mother was a kindergarten teacher. Before I moved to Silver Spring, Maryland, I lived in Pensacola FL at age 5 years old, where my father got his PHD in Ministries. I later moved to Augusta, Georgia at 10 years old where my father was a principle of my Christian school. At the age of 12 years old, my family and I moved to Silver Spring, Maryland, when I was 15 years old, I moved to Anambra State, Nigeria to spend the summer in Nigeria. I ended up living in Nigeria for 2 years attending an all girls boarding private school in Nigeria, returning to America 2 years later.
I received my GED in 2008, I have a General Studies Associate Degree from Anne Arundel Community College from 2006-2008. In the fall of 2008, I moved to Bluefield, West Virginia where I got my Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing and Management where I spent 3 years at Bluefield State College from 2008-2011.
My first nonfiction novel, Mangoes in the Rain (2020) was released and is available at Barnes and Noble and Amazon. My first novel was also accepted to the Fairfax County Library’s.
I love writing, organizing residential homes and commercial businesses.
I am the founder + lead organizer of Lavender Organizes L.L.C. which I started in the summer of 2019.
I am seen in the Northern Virginia Magazine with a full page editorial as a professional organizer expert discussing ways to declutter published in 2020. I was mentioned in the Washington Post as a Professional Organizer Expert in 2021. I have been mention in The Spruce the top 5 home E-Magazine as a professional organizer expert.
In 2022, I legally added Lavender as my middle name. I prefer to be called Lavender mostly.
